Names like Warnham and Woburn are often bracketed together. Both bloodlines are world-famous indeed and their
breeding stock is in great demand.
That is why only Warnham deer are to be found at Ric and Jackie Wharton's farm.
The farm is idyllically hidden in the woods of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The heart of the farm is the
romantic Midmar Castle, the family home of the Whartons.

The farm produces about 100 calves a season. Year after year, the quality of the deer improves.
The selection for antlers, weight and character is extremely strict. The animals' herdbook is meticulously
registered and every animal's pedigree is known.

Efficiency is characteristic of everything this family does.
To fully understand this, you had better make a small investment (about £30). Treat yourself to "The Salvage
of the Century", by Ric Wharton (ISBN: 0-941332-79-9 Best Publishing Company - www.bestpub.com).

Stedemanshof used several Midmar stags as sires in the past.
One of those stags weighed 290 kilogram when he was sold as a 5-year-old !
Right from the start, Stedemanshof's relations with Midmar Castle were hearty. This is quite logical as both
farms have more or less the same objectives. Besides, both families share a passion for fieldsports.
Currently, Stedemanshof is Midmar Castle Warnham Herd's agent for the European Continent.
Every year, good yearling hinds and stags are available. Mature hinds, older stags and master stags are also
for sale regularly.
