Ludovic graduated as a schoolteacher in 1973, but did not really want to spend his life within four walls. He soon wanted to become self-employed, but for some time this was merely a vague dream.
The love of fieldsports runs in the Braeckman family.

For Ludovic the call of the wild was so strong that he tried to make contacts in the early seventies. He made those contacts in Scotland, where deer-farms mushroomed at the time. Ludovic was acquainted with some of them by local friends. He kept the idea at the back of his mind, but it all seemed rather utopian at the time. To this day, Ludovic has regularly travelled to Scotland, only to become more and more infatuated with deer and ... bagpiping !
